Realistic femoral artery dissection and anastomosis practice

The LifeLike Long Embedded Femoral Artery Model provides an extended vascular training platform for developing and assessing basic and advanced vascular surgery skills. One continuous femoral artery is embedded in 50 cm of soft tissue beneath a dermis layer, allowing trainees to practise exposure and vessel preparation before performing an anastomosis.

Its extended length supports multiple training sites on the same model, making it suitable for repeated end-to-end and end-to-side anastomosis exercises. Six internal diameters are available, enabling educators to select a vessel size appropriate to their course, procedure or experience level.

Vessel exposure and dissection

Practise accessing and dissecting an embedded femoral artery through the overlying dermis and surrounding soft tissue.

Vascular anastomosis

Perform multiple end-to-end and end-to-side anastomoses along the extended 50 cm vessel.

Bypass and tunnelling

Use the model for simulated bypass, conduit tunnelling and associated vessel-preparation exercises.
