Realistic Nerve Models for Coaptation and Microsurgical Repair Training

The LifeLike Nerve Training Models provide realistic simulated tissue for developing nerve coaptation, microsuturing, anastomosis and nerve repair techniques. Four diameters are available, allowing educators and learners to select the appropriate scale for precision neurosurgery training or basic and complex microsurgical exercises.

1 mm to 4 mm diameters Nerve coaptation training Microsuturing practice End-to-end repair End-to-side repair

About the LifeLike Nerve Models

Microsurgical nerve repair requires controlled instrument handling, accurate alignment and precise suture placement. These LifeLike models provide a consistent simulated nerve structure for developing those skills away from the clinical environment.

The range includes fine 1 mm and 2 mm models for neurosurgical anastomosis training, together with longer 3 mm and 4 mm models for basic and complex nerve repair exercises.

The models can support end-to-end and end-to-side nerve coaptation, microsuturing, simulated grafting and other fundamental or advanced microsurgical nerve repair techniques.

Key Training Benefits

Four Nerve Diameters

Progress from highly delicate 1 mm models through to larger 4 mm models for varied microsurgical training requirements.

Realistic Microsuturing Practice

Develop precision, needle control and consistent suture placement on a model designed to feel and behave like nerve tissue.

Repeatable Skills Assessment

Provides a consistent platform for instructor demonstration, structured practice and competency evaluation.

Suggested Training Progression

Begin with 4 mm

Use the largest model to establish instrument handling, alignment and coaptation technique with a more visible working structure.

Progress to 3 mm or 2 mm

Refine needle placement, suture spacing and precision as the simulated nerve diameter decreases.

Advance to 1 mm

Challenge fine motor control and microsuturing accuracy with the smallest neurosurgical training model.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which nerve sizes are available?

The range includes 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm diameter nerve models.

How long are the nerve models?

The 1 mm and 2 mm models are 3 inches long. The 3 mm and 4 mm models are 6 inches long.

Which models are intended for neurosurgery training?

The 1 mm and 2 mm diameter models are specifically listed for neurosurgical anastomosis training.

Which models are suitable for basic and complex repair?

The 3 mm and 4 mm diameter models are intended for basic and complex nerve anastomosis training.

Can end-to-end and end-to-side repairs be practised?

Yes. LifeLike identifies both end-to-end and end-to-side nerve coaptation as applications for its nerve training models.

Are instruments and sutures included?

No. The listing contains the selected nerve model only. Microsurgical instruments, sutures and magnification equipment are sold separately.

Are the models intended for clinical use?

No. These products are intended exclusively for education, simulation and microsurgical skills training.
