A realistic soft-tissue venipuncture model containing peripheral or peripheral-and-deep embedded vessels for conventional and ultrasound-guided needle insertion, vascular access and blood-draw training.

Realistic venipuncture and ultrasound-guided access training

The LifeLike Embedded Veins Venipuncture Model is designed for developing, retaining and assessing essential nursing, phlebotomy, vascular access and ultrasound-guided needle-insertion skills.

LifeLike Large Saphenous Veins are embedded within soft tissue beneath a 2.2 mm dermis layer. Trainees must identify the vessel position and control needle angle and insertion depth in a simulated tissue environment.

Choose the Small Peripheral configuration with three superficially positioned vessels or the Deep and Peripheral configuration, which adds four deeper vessels for a total of seven. Both versions are available with an optional syringe and connectors for pressurising the vessels.

What is the difference between the two model layouts?
The Small Peripheral model contains three peripheral vessels. The Deep and Peripheral model adds four deeper vessels, giving seven vessels in total.
Can this model be used with ultrasound?
Yes. The model is ultrasound compatible and is designed to support ultrasound-guided vessel location and needle-insertion training.
Which versions include a syringe?
References 0256 and 0260 include a syringe and connectors. References 0253 and 0257 do not include the syringe kit.
How deep are the embedded vessels?
Peripheral vessels are positioned 7 mm to the vessel centre. Deep vessels are positioned 13 mm to the vessel centre.
Is the VI Box included?
No. The VI Box is a separate training system and must be purchased separately.
